reflection

candlelight and quiet
This was going to be a reflective post. Some thoughts about my life and where it's heading. But really I feel completely bamboozled. My mind is ticking over in a kind of slow drunk way. I've been attic clearing today. I am on a mission to let things go. I can't help but feel like my life is on the other side of it. Wherever that might be. Maybe it will all still be here just the same, but feeling a little lighter.

There have been car loads. It's endless. Just how much stuff can fit into one house, it's incredible. No other thoughts, I'm in a stupor.

  1. I keep threatening to empty our attic, but just the thought of it scares me, maybe one day!

  3. The strange thing about getting rid of stuff is, once it's out of the house and a few weeks have passed, you will most likely never think of the things again. That's how it was for me when we downsized before our move.

  4. Good for you Heather. - Cleaning out the attic is a huge undertaking and when you're done you're going to feel like a huge weight is lifted.

  5. I'm impressed - the thought of clearing out our attic brings me out in a cold sweat! It's my 'halfway' storage: things that the girls have grown out of - books, games etc, - that would be too painful to get rid of straight away, get put into the attic with a view to getting rid of them at a later date .......... only I never do! Maybe they'll come in useful for grandchildren?! x

  7. Hey Heather,
This feels like a very reflective post to me. Letting go in any form carries reflective pauses.
On a more flippant note - my attic is actually a terrifying space of toys and camping gear. I have to go up there today and fetch the decs down. I'm not looking forward to it.
    Have a lovely weekend
