Hello, I thought we could do some collective oohing and aahing!

I have been chop chopping away and making pretty fabric pictures. I can't decide which bit I like best. The prettifying and photography or the making.

There's been a lot of chopping and then more chopping, and now I've finally just added these stash bundles to my shop. There are 15 different retro floral patterns. The squares are 10 x 10 inches in size.

They are a good size to make a string of colourful bunting for the summer! or perhaps a small child's quilt or cushions.

They are all washed, pressed and ready to sew.

Of course each parcel will have a little dangly heart popped in it too.

No parcel would be ready without one!

`happy hearts`

I wanted to say thank you for all your comments on my Conchetta Conchetta post. I had no idea that in the middle of my photography course that I would be announcing her arrival. I was thinking about it and already had a draft post in my journal from last year, (don't tell her that!).

I wasn't sure the world was ready for Conchetta Conchetta, pronounced Conch(ee)tta Conch(ét)ta, or indeed I was.

Then one night I had a dream about a piece of paper covered in glitter, (purple glitter funnily enough) and a glittery covered pen, and I knew it was time. Her name was quite certainly Conchetta Conchetta. On looking up the meaning of her name, in Spanish it is a reference to the immaculate conception. Which made me laugh when I considered her double name and thought about this post!
A little bit of further investigation led me to this, and it seems as though her name has other similar deviations from around Germany and Italy, so although her exact home village is a bit of a mystery she is indeed a creative maker from over land and sea.

Anyway today is the day to announce that we have made some little cards. 'Happy hearts' with folding cards for messages no less. In the hope that should you wish to send a dear one a little heart and message, you might consider these.

You can see the heart now becomes a card! And the heart if you so wish can easily be detached.

All that's left to do is dangle the heart in a happy place. All the heart gift cards have a happy place tag on them. They now rather remind me of teabags, the kind with a message attached!

And of course each little card comes with it's own little matching envelope. The card and envelope are made from recycled paper and the hearts from glorious vintage sheets!

I may be back with some more shop news soon, in between the odd mini adventure of course, as there has been much happy making of late.

Okay well I have been going a bit heart mad here making hearts, I'm enjoying myself, and that's a good thing. I don't have my lovely Mum anymore, not in body anyway. She is and will always be most sorely missed. The daily phone call of sharing what's happening in our world, and our devoted follower of life's ups and downs. Someone to call and say 'I'm back' after a long journey. Someone to drink tea and eat cake with in favourite cafe's. My listener, supporter and all round ground holder.

I would always find a little something heart shaped to give her on her birthday or christmas or for celebrations. I would look out for red hearts, because red was her favourite colour, whether it was chocolate or a glass bauble or a card. I actually think she started the tradition, by giving me a red velvet heart cushion, which I still have today.

Anyway I will dedicate these love hearts to her and the spirit of her mothering. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

I have made these hearts bigger than before, as they should be of course! Each heart comes attached to a blank white square card, with an envelope for sending. The heart can then be taken off and dangled wherever feels a good place to see it!

I can send the cards by first class post, which for the U.K keeps the postage quite low. Because of the depth of the crochet, it doesn't quite fit the guidelines for letter depth for international post, so I would need to send as a small parcel. This costs a bit more. I'm going to think about what else I can do to keep the postage down.

Oh yes, in the middle is a lovely chunky cotton reel I brought at the vintage flea market in Ludlow on Sunday. I thought it might make a nice prop! I have to take the teen here now again to meet his Dad. It's the half way point, seems as he has now moved to North Wales.  I am gathering photo's, it's a lovely town and I will do a post about it sometime.
