a cabin in the garden

Would you like to live in a cabin in the garden here, in the snow?

All year round, I have a lovely resident living in this cabin. There are some hardy cabin folk indeed living in these parts!

Today I had a little message to come for tea. So nice to visit a cabin in the snow!

It was bright in the cabin as the light reflected off the snow all around and it certainly was toasty in this little place, I think the burner will have to keep going all day today.

a glimpse of another life, a simple life. Closer to nature, the trees and the birds as neighbours. A place to reflect and be quieter. And also a good internet connection!

this snow was quite deep, a sudden snowfall over night. Schools and roads closed, it feels as though we are somewhere else.

here is the winter landscape this morning. With more snow to come. Keep warm and well and don't forget to feed the birds!

have a warm and toasty weekend,

Heather

  1. Hello Heather:
How delightful all of this appears, notwithstanding the obvious cold. The cabin looks to be enchanting, straight out of a story book from childhood. We imagine toasting muffins and crumpets before the fire.

  3. That cabin looks very inviting and cosy. I keep asking for such a space at the bottom of our garden but not allowed yet, perfect place for painting and watching the birds and wildlife.

I made sure that I put out fresh water for them and that the feeders are stocked up xx

The walk to get to the cabin looks chilly but refreshing and definitely worth the trip to arrive at the inviting, warm, cozy, and comfortable little cabin. Your photos are a treat to the eye!

  12. Hi Heather!
Oh...my...I would love a cabin, tucked away at the bottom of the garden to escape to! It looks so inviting in the pure white snow, a bit like stepping out into Narnia, into another world! Everything does seem so still and cozy in there. Wrap up warm and soak in the quiet! Blessings, Tania ♥

  14. First off... your photography is lovely, you have an eye to catch the most beautiful. Second.... though I couldn't live here on a daily basis, I would love to have this home as a vacation home. It would be so peaceful..

  24. What a wonderful place to escape to.....I would love the simplicity of living in such a cabin, but having a good internet connection seems to be one of life's necessities too....the best of both worlds.
i'm sure I would be much more productive living in a little cabin in the snow....less housework for a start.
